There are serious traffic delays on the A96 this morning as work begins to remove the roundabout close to Aberdeen International Airport.
Commuters have taken to social media to complain about huge queues stretching in both directions along the A96.
Temporary traffic lights have been put in place at the junction of the A96 and Dyce Drive.
The work forms part of the new multi-million pound AWPR.
Transport Scotland said the temporary lights would allow them to complete work to remove the roundabout and replace it with permanent traffic signals.
An AWPR spokesman added: “As with any change in road layout, we would recommend that all drivers using this route should apply more caution than usual.”
