A man has been charged in connection with a spate of break-ins at a number of businesses in Aberdeenshire.
The 32-year-old was arrested after reports of 11 properties being targeted in the north-east.
In March an architecture firm in Inverurie was broken into where photographic and computer equipment was taken.
Tools were also stolen from two builders’ yards in the same month.
The man has also been charged with nine driving offences and the theft of license plates and fuel.
Garioch area Inspector, Jon Millar, said: “I would like to thank the public who have provided us with invaluable assistance and information throughout these inquiries.
“I would also like to take this opportunity to remind the public to always be vigilant when it comes to their valuables, and to ensure their businesses, homes, garages and vehicles are always locked and secure.
“With the lighter nights, I would urge people to always ensure you secure your doors – front and back – even if you are at home or in the garden.
“Please take simple steps like using good quality locks to reduce your chances of becoming a victim of crime.”
