A group of Cubs have been helping to keep their local community tidy.
Youngsters from the 1st Daviot Oldmeldrum Scout Group assisted Meldrum Amenities Improvement Group with the litter pick.
Around 40 Cubs took part throughout April, despite the unseasonable weather, using equipment loaned to them by Aberdeenshire Council.
The group also helped prepare many hanging baskets used to decorate the town during the summer months.
The Cubs took part for their Our World Challenge badge.
MAIG’s Andrew McCartney was also very grateful for the assistance of the group.
He said: “We always welcome any additional volunteers when it comes to helping to improve the appearance of our town for residents and visitors alike.
“It was a pleasure to have the assistance of the Cubs and I wish them well in their efforts to attaining their Challenge Badge”.
Cub section leader, Brian Davidson, said: “We are very grateful for the assistance of both MAIG and Aberdeenshire Council in aiding our efforts to help out in the local community.
“Daviot Oldmeldrum Scout Group are proud to have strong ties within our local community and we are always keen to be more involved, particularly during our centenary year”.
