Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted in Aberdeen city centre at the weekend.
A 29-year-old man was attacked near the Travelodge on Justice Mill Lane at 12.30am on Sunday morning.
Three men were seen running away from the scene and police are keen to trace one who is described as being in his early twenties, around 6ft tall, with a muscular build, short dark hair and wearing a light grey jumper, blue denim jeans and dark footwear.
Investigating officer Kevin Souter said the area would have been busy at the time.
“This incident has resulted in a male sustaining a facial injury.
“Assaults of this nature can have a significant impact on the life of the victim.
“The area would have been busy with folk out for the evening and I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the assault to come forward and contact the police.”
“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.”
