A jet skier has been rescued from the north-east coast this afternoon.
The man is said to have been out fishing on the machine between Portsoy and Whitehills, just before 2pm, when rescuers were called to bring him ashore.
Aberdeen Coastguard said they had received a call from someone “concerned” about the jet skier.
Lifeboats from Buckie and Macduff were called out and brought the man ashore.
An Aberdeen Coastguard spokeswoman said: “It wasn’t anything spectacular. We received a call, someone was concerned about a jet skier. He wasn’t in any danger.
“He came back into harbour with them, he was out fishing.
“We got the call at 1.55pm. It was between Portsoy and Whitehills.”
