Two city councillors have raised concerns that a show home on a new development does not have adequate planning consent.
Hazlehead representatives Martin Greig and Jennifer Stewart claim the Dandara sales suite at Countesswells has not had permission since last year.
But council chiefs have insisted no permission is required for the temporary building.
Mr Greig said it was “incredible” the firm planned to host a public meeting on June 22 to discuss the proposals for the scheme.
He said: “We find it incredible that this applicant intends to host a public meeting in a sales suite – which is a temporary building – that has been without planning permission since June 2015.
“Therefore we contend that Aberdeen City Council’s planners are prepared to allow the this developer to admit members of the public into a building which has stood for almost a year beyond the period of its legally recognised structural integrity.
“This situation could be putting members of the public at risk and therefore must be prevented.
“We have repeatedly advised the council’s planning officer that the sales pod is being used without planning permission – but to no avail.”
An Aberdeen City Council spokeswoman said: “Under planning policy, the sales pod is considered a permitted development and therefore does not require planning permission. The initial permission granted in 2013 was not necessary and as such there is no need for planning permission at present.”
Dandara did not wish to comment.
