Public opinion is being sought on proposed changes to three city car parks.
Aberdeen City Council wants to introduce parking charges and time limits at car parks at Crombie Road, Torry; Dunmail Avenue, Cults; and Station Road in Bucksburn.
Under the plans, motorists would need to pay £1 for a maximum two-hour stay Monday to Friday, between 8am and 6pm.
Blue badge holders would be exempt.
Yesterday, a row broke out at the authority’s infrastructure committee meeting after the Liberal Democrats tabled an amendment to call off a public consultation, and not implement the charges. The move was supported by the SNP – despite the group backing the changes in their own budget.
However, the plans for the consultation were eventually approved.
The changes have been opposed by local community councils.
