A family-run jewellery business in Inverurie has designed a bespoke necklace to be auctioned off at a fundraising event for a local cancer charity.

The event, which is being hosted by law firm Stronachs LLP, will feature a host of items, including the necklace, designed by Sinclairs in Inverurie, with all proceeds from the day going to Clan Cancer Support.

The custom-made item, worth more than £500, will be auctioned at the upcoming Tea in the Park event.

Ian Sinclair, whose business raised £20,000 for Clan last year as part of its 40th anniversary celebrations, said it had been an honour to create the one-off design.

He added: “Like Stronachs, we’re passionate about raising money for Clan because they’re a hugely important charity in the north-east, and one which is very close to our hearts.

“When the law firm’s charity and social committee asked us if we could donate something for the charity auction, we were more than happy to create something extra special.

“This is a beautiful and unique piece – it’s one we have really enjoyed working on.”

Susan Crighton, Clan’s fundraising manager said: “We’re extremely grateful to Sinclairs which continues to go above and beyond in its support of Clan.

“A special thanks also goes to Stronachs for selecting Clan as their nominated charity.

“We are appreciative of all their fundraising efforts and look forward to the Tea in the Park event in a few weeks’ time.”

The latter event will take place at The Park Café in Hazlehead Park on Friday, June 3.

It is now sold out, but you can still support Clan by emailing: carol.crowther@stronachs.com to donate or bid on an auction prize.
