Aberdeenshire Council could create dozens of new disabled-access parking spaces across the north-east this year.
Members of the Banff and Buchan area committee have been asked to grant nearly 80 requests to the authority to make disabled street parking orders.
The list of authorised disabled street parking spaces is updated every year and Aberdeenshire residents can apply to have a space added near their home.
If north-east councillors agree the latest raft of proposals, relevant groups including the police, community councils and the Road Haulage Association will all be consulted.
A total of 79 new spaces are expected to be added to the list – including 26 in Fraserburgh, 24 in Macduff and a further eight in Banff.
In total, there have been 14 requests to remove spaces from across the Banff and Buchan wards.
The estimated cost of implementing the new parking orders – including adding new signs and white lines – is £2,000.
Members of the Banff and Buchan area committee will meet in the county hall in Banff on Tuesday morning to debate the proposals.
If any objections are made by police, community councils, Road Haulage Association or neighbouring residents, the proposals will be brought back before the committee.
Otherwise, council officers will begin work on the new spaces if councillors vote in favour of the new list.
