A man has died following an incident at a north-east dairy farm.
The incident, which resulted in the death of the 58-year-old man, occurred at the farm at Newseat of Dumbreck near Pitmedden.
The emergency services rushed to the farm around 5.15pm yesterday but the man could not be saved.
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has confirmed an investigation into the death is under way.
A police spokeswoman said: “Police Scotland received a report of a man being injured following an incident within a dairy farm in Udny at around 5.15pm on Wednesday, 18 May.
“Police attended along with other emergency services and sadly the man, aged 58, died. The next of kin of the man who died have been informed as have the Health and Safety Executive.
“Inquiries into the incident are ongoing.”
A spokeswoman for the HSE said: “An inspector attended the scene today and we are investigating along with Police Scotland.”
