The fire service was called to Palmerston Road at around 4pm by the Scottish SPCA. A height vehicle has been sent to the scene from the central office alongside another unit from Altens. A fire service spokeswoman said: “We got a call at 4.20pm saying the gull is still trapped on the building and we are still trying to rescue it.” Seven firefighters are currently at the scene. Update: The gull has now been rescued. Firefighters left the scene shortly before 5pm.
