The A96 west of Nairn has now reopened in both directions following an earlier multiple vehicle collision. Police officers attended the scene along with four fire appliances and an ambulance. It is understood no one was seriously injured in the smash. Road policing officers are directing traffic around the debris. Earlier a police spokeswoman said: “The A96 west of Nairn close to Delnies has been closed in both directions following a multiple vehicle collision. “Police and other emergency services are currently in attendance. Please seek an alternative route.” The incident happened at around 1.15pm. It is understood weather in the area was poor at the time of the crash.
