A90 closed after five cars involved in two separate north-east crashes

Emergency services are at the scene of two multi-car crashes blocking the A90 in both directions just south of Aberdeen.

The northbound route is currently closed after a three car crash and traffic is slow southbound after two vehicles collided.

Both crashes took place near the Muchalls turn-off.

Fire services say they have cut a man free from the northbound crash.

It is understood the crashes happened near Walker Drive, Muchalls around 7.30am.
