Superheroes young and old are being urged to sign up for an annual race around a popular Aberdeen park.
Friends of Hazlehead Park and Sport Aberdeen have teamed up once more to host the Dandara 5K later this summer.
The September 3 event also includes a 1K and 2K course for youngsters, as well as a 600-metre fun run.
Registration for the event is now open, and there are 1,300 spaces available.
Money raised on the day will be used to rejuvenate Hazlehead Park, with funds previously being used to create memory paths, replant the Queen Mother Rose Garden. They have also been put towards revamping the popular Pets Corner.
Donald Shaw, chairman of Friends of Hazlehead, urged people to get involved.
He said: “The Dandara 5K and family fun day is one of our most successful fundraising events and we can’t wait to see runners of all ages and abilities taking part in this year’s race.
“Hazlehead Park is a special place for many people in Aberdeen, and events like this really help us put plans in place to restore the park to its former glory and make it somewhere we can be proud to spend time with our friends and loved ones.
“Once again we’d like to thank Dandara for their continued sponsorship which allows us to organise this event and make it so enjoyable for everyone taking part.
“We are also very fortunate to have the support of Sport Aberdeen who are helping us get ready for the day.”
