Thousands of people have taken part in a charity run described as a ‘tsunami of colour’ to help improve the lives of children living in the north-east.
The Color Me Rad event, which is loosely based on Holi, the Hindu festival of colours, is a fun run with an added splash of colour.
Thousands of people from the north-east turned out to the event, hosted at Aberdeen’s Hazlehead Park, where participants were showered with powder of various colours as they ran, walked or jogged their way to the finish line.
Cash for Kids, which supports disabled and disadvantaged children and young people, was selected as one of the charity partners for the event.
Charity manager, Michelle Ferguson, said: “All of the money that is donated to Cash for Kids will be spent helping improve the lives of children living locally in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.
“Color Me Rad really puts the fun into fundraising.”
