Police have confirmed the identity of a woman who died at an Aberdeenshire beauty spot.
Lesley Pumford, 44, was found dead by search and rescue teams after police, lifeboat and coastguard services were alerted at around 1.20am last Friday.
A man in his 40s was also found injured by the teams at the cliffs around Whistleberry Farm at Kinneff.
Police confirmed that Ms Pumford was local to the area.
The tragedy resulted in a large-scale investigation on the crags and fields near the ruins of Whistleberry Castle.
A police spokeswoman said that the circumstances surrounding the death of Ms Pumford remain unexplained, and inquires into the incident are still ongoing.
