Police have launched a manhunt for an armed robber who threatened staff and stole drugs from a Aberdeen pharmacy.
Officers were called to the Lewis Road Pharmacy yesterday at around 4:45pm after the thief presented a weapon and made off with medication from the shop.
The suspect is described as being six foot tall and is believed to be aged between 20 and 30 years old.
He was wearing a black nylon bomber jacket with hooded top, dark blue skinny jeans, black gloves and black shoes.
A spokesman for Police Scotland confirmed that several staff members were left shaken by the incident but that no casualties had been reported.
Detective Inspector Stewart Drummond said: “The staff members in the shop were understandably shocked following this incident but were thankfully not injured.
“A full investigation, including speaking to witnesses and reviewing CCTV, is underway.
We are appealing for anyone who was in the Lewis Road area and who could have seen the man either before the time of the robbery or after to come forward and speak to us to assist us with our investigation.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
