Three men have been charged in connection with an alleged serious assault in Aberdeenshire.
The three, aged 19, 23 and 25 were charged following an assault which took place in the Market Place area of Inverurie in the early hours of Sunday, May 29.
The trio are due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court today.
Officers are still investigating the incident and are appealing for anyone with any information to come forward.
Investigating Officer, Constable Kevin Ritchie, from the divisional alcohol violence reduction unit based at Inverurie, said: “Thank you to the public who have provided information to us so far.
“We are still following up further lines of enquiries, and I would like to appeal to anyone who has any knowledge which could assist to contact the Police.
“Assaults and violence of any nature can have a significant impact on the life of the victim as well as a negative impact on the reputation of cities, towns and villages. It will not be tolerated.”
