Police are probing an attempted robbery near Aberdeen city centre this morning.
Between 8.30-9am a 20-year-old man was approached by another man who attempted to steal his belongings.
The suspect is described as 5ft8in tall, with a slim build, medium length dark brown hair and wearing a grey hooded top and dirty blue jeans.
He also had a distinctive tattoo on his neck which was of a tribal design.
Detective Constable John Murdoch, who is investigating the incident said:
“The area in and around Jute Street would have been busy at that time of the morning with people travelling to work, schools and universities, and so I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, or who can identify the suspect to contact police.”
