Two people are expected to appearĀ in court today after police seized thousands of pounds of cannabis from a north-east property.
TheĀ 26-year-old male and a 23-year-old female will appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court following the discovery of a cannabis cultivation at the property in St Cyrus.
Police have determined the street value of the drugs at around Ā£3,500.
The discovery was made after officers from the Divisional Alcohol and Violence Reduction Unit (DAVRU) executed a search warrant on Friday.
Sergeant Brian Johnston, of the DAVRU, said: “I would like to take this opportunity to remind the public that any drug related activity will not be tolerated in our communities, and I would urge people to continue providing Police with information that can help to detect and deter organised crime in the North East.
