Fire crews have been called out to deal with a suspected “chemical spill” at a shop in Royal Deeside.
Staff at the commercial premises in Banchory, believed to be a pharmacy on the High Street, raised the alarm after finding what police described as a “potential hazard”.
Two fire engines and two incident support units were seen heading into the village under blue lights just after 4.30pm.
Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were unable to confirm any details although police said a cordon had been put in place.
A police spokeswoman said: “Police Scotland can confirm that officers are currently assisting the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service with an incident at a commercial premises in Banchory, Aberdeenshire. “A cordon has been put in place and there are no further details at the moment.”
