A man had to be cut free from his car this morning following a crash on a busy north-east road which left his vehicle on its roof.
Emergency services were called to the scene on the B992 road at Keig, near Castle Forbes, at around 7.15am.
The vehicle remained off the road for over an hour while crews continued to work to free the man.
He is understood to have received minor injuries but no serious casualties have been reported.
A spokesman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We’ve been and gone. The crews released the man with cutting gear.
“Two crews were in attendance, one from Alford and Inverurie.”
A spokesman for Police Scotland warned that wet and foggy conditions are affecting visibility in areas throughout Aberdeenshire and advised road users to take care.
They said: “The weather this morning will make for difficult conditions for road users.
“The message we really want to get across is that drivers should take care.”
