Fire crews were called to help free a man from his vehicle after he became trapped in a crash on a major north-east road.
The man is understood to have become stuck after a collision between a tractor and his Royal Mail van on the A96.
Police were called to the incident on the Aberdeen to Huntly route near the Oyne Fork, around two miles from Morgan McVeigh’s cafe at around 9.45 am this morning.
However, after realising that the man was unable to exit the vehicle, fire services were called to help free him.
A spokeswoman for the police said: “There are no serious injuries, although I think the van driver is going to need assistance getting out.”
Two drivers have now been taken to hospital.
