Teenager to appear in court over raid at north-east outdoor shop

A 19-year-old Aberdeen man has been charged in connection with a raid at a Deeside clothing shop.

The man, who is expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court today, was arrested after an investigation into the theft by housebreaking at the Out There clothing shop in Banchory.

Brands such as Odlo, Icebreaker, Haglofs, Fjallraven, Jack Wolfskin and Montane were among those take in the raid.

Police have also confirmed that both vehicles alleged to have been involved in the incident – a silver Citroen C5 and a cream Mini – have been recovered, in addition to goods worth thousands of pounds.

Detective Inspector Stuart McAdam said: “Enquiries are still ongoing and I would continue to urge anyone with information about the incident in question to contact Police as soon as possible.

“In particular anyone with information in relation to anyone else they may suspect is involved or outstanding property should come forward as a matter of urgency.

“Thank you also to the members of the public who have assisted us and provided information so far, and to the media for its help.

“I would urge anyone with info to contact Police Scotland on 101, or alternatively call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 to remain anonymous.”
