Flooding has brought parts of Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire to a standstill as police close roads and redirect traffic.
A number of routes across Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and Moray have been closed or temporarily blocked this evening due to high rainfall and risk of flooding.
The back road beside Marshall Trailers on the A96 down to Dyce Drive, also known as the U53C Chapel of Stoneywood to Newton Kirkhill road, has been closed in both directions with local diversions in place.
One south-bound lane of the A96 Aberdeen to Inverurie road is also closed as a result of water flowing from the U53C road.
Aberdeen Highland Games cancelled due to flooding
Riverside Drive in Aberdeen and roads close to the Culter Burn are at risk of flooding, the city council has warned.
Residents in the Millside and Paddock area of Culter have been sent sandbags as a precautionary measure.
In Abrdeenshire, the C17M road between the Feughside Inn and the AA box has been closed.
The B974 Old Military Road has been closed at Strachan.
In addition, the Banchory to Glassel road has been closed.
