Susan Christie is accused of “misappropriating” service users money on three occasions in 2013. She is also alleged to have lied about being sacked by Aberdeen City Council to her watchdog. A three day hearing into the claims will be held next week before the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) in Dundee. The professional charge against her states that between May 20 and May 28 she targeted two service users in the city. It is alleged that she asked the local authority for cash and Tesco vouchers totalling £60 with the intention of handing them over. However it is claimed neither client was given the money or vouchers nor did they receive shopping in exchange. The SSSC alleges that in doing so she was dishonest. It is further claimed that on December 12, 2013 Christie failed to inform the SSSC that she had been dismissed by Aberdeen City Council. The conduct hearing to determine whether Christine has breached the SSSC code of practice will begin on Wednesday.
