Rescuers called after person spotted on tower of Aberdeen suspension bridge

Aberdeen Coastguard have been called to a historic bridge across the River Dee following reports of a person on one of its towers.
A lifeboat and coastguard rescue team from the city were called out to the Wellington Suspension Bridge, near Torry, at about 4pm.
There was reports from a passerby of a person on one of the structure’s towers.
An Aberdeen Coastguard spokesman said: “We had reports of somebody on Wellington Suspension Bridge on one of its towers, we are making searches at the minute.
“It came in about 3.50pm. We have a lifeboat searching and the local coastguard team.”
