Police van crashes off north-east road to avoid hitting boulder

A police van was forced to swerve off of a north-east road to avoid a collision with a boulder.
Officers were travelling along the A98 Banff to Portsoy road when they were forced into the roadside to avoid crashing into the rock.
The incident took place at about 7.30pm on Saturday and nobody was injured as a result.
Inspector George Cordiner said: “Thankfully no one was injured during the incident, and no other vehicles were involved. The incident was reported and inquiries into the circumstances were carried out.”
