Oil spill affecting traffic on A96 road near Aberdeen

Drivers have been warned to take care after an oil-spill on a major north-east road.

Around half a mile of road is currently being affected on the A96 road between the roundabouts at Tyrebagger and Blackburn.

The outside lane heading towards Aberdeen is understood to be the main area affected.

Police were first made aware of the spillage at around 8.50am this morning.

A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “We would advise motorists to take care when driving in the area.”
