A little girl found missing by police in Aberdeen has been returned home safely after a Facebook appeal to find her parents went viral online.
Solicitor Ross Campbell posted the plea to social media last night after the young girl was found wandering around the Garthdee area, near Headland Court and Asda.
Ross said the little girl did not speak any English and was still wearing a nappy when she was found.
Police confirmed that the girl had been missing for over an hour when she was picked up.
The post was shared more than 500 times by concerned city residents as police hunted to find the girl’s parents.
Officers confirmed today that the girl had been returned home unharmed.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Police received a concern call about 6.30pm last night after a young girl left her family home without them knowing.
“She came to no harm and was reunited with her parents later in the evening.”
