Appeal for witnesses after 44-year-old injured on Aberdeen street

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was found injured on an Aberdeen street this morning.
Emergency services were called to Golf Road at 6am this morning following reports of an assault.
A 44-year-old man was found injured near to Bon Accord Golf Club after police arrived on scene.
A police spokeswoman confirmed another man had been taken into custody in connection with the incident.
She added: “Police have appealed for witnesses after a 44-year-old man was found injured at Golf Road, Aberdeen shortly after 6am today, Wednesday, 20 July.
“The man has been taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. Inquiries are ongoing to establish how the man came by his injuries but a 42-year-old man is currently in custody in connection with the incident.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101.”
She confirmed the incident is not connected to the death of three people at Donside Court last night.
