Tributes have been paid to a man and woman who died in a disturbance in which a third man apparently leapt to his death.
The pair, named locally as Keith Taylor and Tracy Gabriel, were found following a disturbance at a block of flats in Aberdeen on Tuesday evening.
Police Scotland said their deaths are being treated as murder.
Witnesses described seeing another man – named locally as Hugh Gallacher – fall to his death from the 12th floor of Donside Court in the Tillydrone area shortly after police arrived.
The bodies of Ms Gabriel, originally from Huntly in Aberdeenshire, and Mr Taylor were later found in a flat in the tower block.
Aberdeen double-murder suicide: Who were the people that died?
Speaking to the Daily Record, Ms Gabriel’s father, Alex, 63, said: “Tracy was a very cheery, generous person who would give you the last pound in her pocket. Maybe she was sometimes too generous to the wrong people, who took advantage of her.
“All she ever wanted to do was make sure everyone was okay. I can’t believe something like this has happened to her.”
Her daughter Samantha, 21, said: “I’m struggling to believe this has happened.”
Writing on Facebook, a friend of Mr Taylor said: “I would Like to say rest in peace to one of my oldest best friends Keith Taylor.
“Man we had so much fun and crazy times too and I remember all the trouble we didn’t mean get into to but it just happened.
“You will always be in my life man RIP Keith.”
Miss Gabriel is understood to have been a mum-of-four who was originally from the Huntly area and went to Alford Academy.
One of her friends, Shona Trowbridge, took to social media to pay tribute to her.
She said: “You were a special person, I grew up with you, we had some good times and some absolutely funny ones but we did have some bad times also, but we did what was best for us all, we kept smiling and seen them through, you were one of a kind, RIP my quine Tracy Gabriel.”
Tillydrone, Seaton and Old Aberdeen councillor Ross Grant said: “This is a tough day for communities across my ward and indeed the city of Aberdeen itself.
“These are tight-knit communities, so incidents like these are particularly shocking.
“My sympathies lie with the victims of these attacks.
“As the police are still investigating I think we need to give them time and space to do that.”
