Emergency services were called to Menzies Road in Torry at 3.30pm and one person was taken to hospital. The fire services sent three units to the scene, two from Altens and one from North Anderson Drive. A police spokeswoman said: “The road is still closed to allow the fire services through.” Charlie Booth, who owns Charlie’s Garage on the road, said: “There were three or four fire engines here as well as an ambulance as well as three or four policemen. “The fire was in a flat on the street. “The road was blocked off for an hour and a half.” Emergency services left the scene at 4.30pm.
