Hundreds of people from across the north-east will gather this week to celebrate the 27th anniversary of the Ramblers’ Rendezvous.
The event, being run by the Grampian 50+ network, will involve 460 people attend two days of walking activities.
The first Rendezvous took place in Leith Hall in 1990 as part of an initiative to establish over 50 walking groups and to develop other opportunities for older people.

The two-day event will take place tomorrow and Thursday at Aboyne at Aboyne Academy and Deeside Community Centre.
