An event to help residents secure their properties against the dangers of flooding will be held in Aberdeen today.
The drop-in session will be held at Culter Village Hall from 3pm to 7pm.
The event will provide information about what flood grants are on offer, and attendees will be able to get advice or arrange home visits with representatives from the city council’s flooding team, as well as the Scottish Flood Forum.
Culter was one of many communities across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire severely affected by the floods from Storm Frank.
Residents living close to the Culter and Leauchar burns were forced to leave their homes in the storm after the two waterways burst their banks, as extreme rainfall caused havoc across the north-east.
Elsewhere in the community, people staying in the Culter Den, Paddock and Millside areas were also forced to abandon their homes as floodwaters rose.
And the Old Mill Inn in Maryculter was forced to close its doors when it suffering major flood damage after the River Dee broke its banks.
