Walkers on the Deeside Way will be temporarily diverted while tree harvesting work is carried out later this month.
Forest Enterprise Scotland will carry out the work at Blackhall Forest, near Banchory, between August 15-26.
The diversions will be in place on weekdays, but the route will be open as normal at the weekends.
All other marked routes found within Blackhall forest will remain unaffected, as are the paths up to Scolty Tower.
Dan Cadle, recreation forester with Forest Enterprise Scotland said: “Whilst we are undertaking this thinning work, we are asking the public to ensure they follow the diversion signs.
“This is for their own safety as a harvesting site can be a very dangerous area for visitors.
“The diversion route will be well signposted and easy to follow. We promise to get the work done as soon as possible so that the routes are all up and running again.”
