Plans have been submitted to build nearly a dozen homes on an historic Aberdeen city centre street.
Alan Grant Developments Ltd want to convert 15 Bon Accord Crescent, which has lain vacant since last year, into 11 one and two bedroom flats.
The building has been on the office let market for the last 12 months via FG Burnett and no interest has been shown either to let or to buy the property as offices.
It is category B listed due to the original granite on the three and a half storey structure.
A design statement submitted by Neil Rothie architects reads: “Whilst the most recent use of the building was for offices, this is no longer a viable use for the future of the building.
“Residential use is both an appropriate and obvious use due to the fact that residential uses predominate to the east, south and west (beyond the Union Glen open space). In addition a number of residential flats have been established within the city centre with a significant number to upper floors on Union Street.”
