A Deeside charity which helps people with disabilities enjoy horse riding has spaces.
The Riding for the Disabled Association’s (RDA) Deeside group has been running for the last 30 years, and gives primary school children and adults with physical or learning difficulties the chance to go horse riding.
The group runs riding sessions on Tuesday mornings for primary school youngsters, and Friday mornings for adults. There are also hopes to set up a Wednesday session.
There are now spaces for all age groups for those wanting to try something new.
The group meet at the indoor school at the World Horse Welfare Centre at Belwade Farm, near Aboyne.
Horse riding can be beneficial for all ages and abilities and is recommended by medical professionals as a form of physiotherapy that is suitable for many physical, learning and sensory disabilities.
The group cater to a range of needs, offering support to those with limited mobility, including lifts to assist with mounting.
Jill Randalls, the group chairwoman, said that they hoped to encourage more adults and young people to come along and try.
