An Aberdeen man lashed out at his half-brother and ex-girlfriend after spotting the pair kissing.
Conner Lord punched his brother to the ground, and continued hitting him after seeing the tryst. He also pushed his former partner, causing her to hit her head off the sofa.
Lord’s mother tried to separate the two brawling siblings, but was also hit.
Yesterday the 18-year-old, of 75 Farquhar Road, Aberdeen, admitted assaulting Liam Lord, his mother Simone and Kayleigh Livingstone at Linksfield Court on June 23.
He also admitted a further charge of behaving in an abusive or threatening manner by repeatedly shouting, swearing, punching a wall and throwing items against a wardrobe.
The court heard that Lord and Miss Livingston had ended their relationship earlier in the month and had decided to “stay friends”.
But Lord later spotted her kissing his half-brother, and went to confront them at his mother’s house.
Representing the first-offender, defence agent Kevin Logino said the siblings had an already tense relationship – and that his client had been provoked before he lashed out.
He said: “They are half-brothers and there has been some tension between them in the past.
“(Liam) told Mr Lord that the was something more explicitly sexual going on between them.
“He very much regrets his actions and he now wants to return his life to a state of normalcy.”
He added that Miss Livingstone had said in her witness statement that she had not been scared during the incident, but rather was “angry” at him.
Sheriff Margaret Hodge said that she recognised the offence was “out of character” and deferred Lord’s sentence for six months to be of good behaviour.
