Two people were taken to hospital after a crash on an Aberdeenshire road yesterday.
Emergency services were called to the scene of the accident on the B9001 Inverurie-Rothienorman route just after 3pm.
Two cars had collided at the Lethenty Mills junction.
The police, fire and ambulance service all sent units to the scene and were there for almost two hours.
The crash involved two Vauxhall Astras – one red and one silver – and left the silver one overturned on the side of the road.
The fire brigade sent two crews to the scene – one from Inverurie and one from Insch.
A total of ten firefighters worked to make the vehicles safe.
A spokesman for the fire service said: “We had two units in attendance.
“We did not need to use cutting gear but we made the vehicles safe.”
An ambulance service spokesman confirmed two people were taken to hospital and both were in a “stable condition”.
He said: “Two ambulance crews attended the incident at around 3.10pm.
“A man and a woman were transported to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary in a stable condition.”
The road was not closed and police left the scene at 5pm.
Two motorists were killed on the same road in October when a Vauxhall van and a Honda CRV collided near the Mains of Glack.
