A man has appeared in court accused of breaking into an Aberdeenshire animal rescue centre and stealing a dog.
Nicky Syratt allegedly broke into the Scottish SPCA’s animal and rehoming centre in Drumoak on Friday.
He is further accused of stealing a handheld radio and two pairs of scissors, and repeatedly made threats of violence.
He is also alleged to have tied one end of a rope to the handles of the centre’s doors with the other attached to his car and driven off, causing damage to the centre.
The 30-year-old, of 10 Barratt Drive, Ellon, denied the charges when he appeared from custody at Aberdeen Sheriff Court yesterday.
He was released on bail. His case was continued until next month.
