An Aberdeenshire singer who shot to fame in the American show The Voice USA and performed for an audience of millions is returning home to the north-east next month.
Terry McDermott, originally from Pitmedden, will play at Peterhead Football Club on September 23 and Exodus Nightclub in Aberdeen on September 24.
The former Ellon Academy pupil currently lives in Los Angeles, after moving to the city in 2005.
The former Driveblind star finished second in season three of The Voice USA, and performed in front of a television audience of almost 15 million people in the show’s finale.
Mr McDermott said: “Returning home is always a thrill. Coming from the north-east I love to see Peterhead do well, and I hope to see some familiar faces at these shows.”
Martin Johnston, club general manager at Peterhead FC, said: “We are delighted Terry has chosen to perform for us.
“We have enjoyed watching his career over the years, and look forward to seeing his performance.”
He will also perform at Bannerman’s in Edinburgh on September 22.
