Thousands of people flocked to a popular Aberdeenshire agricultural show as it “pulled out all the stops” this weekend.
The sun shone on the Howe of Cromar for the return of the Tarland Show on Saturday as roughly 2,000 attendees showed up.
The day got started with exhibitors of cattle, horse and sheep battling it out for their farm animals to be named best in show.
However, it was the annual truck show which produced the most interest, with 100 of the mighty machines brought out for the event.
Another huge draw was also the display of 60 vintage and modern tractors of all brands and ages.
The event ended with a packed marquee on Saturday evening, with show-goers finishing off the day with a few drinks.
The popular hill race up nearby Pittenderich also returned, along with racing competitions for youngsters and tug o’ war.
And traditional music was provided from the Lonach Pipe Band, whilst there was also Highland dancing competitions.
Tarland Show president, Andrew Young, said: “It has been a great weekend. It was a great show, there was brilliant weather, I couldn’t complain.
“There was a fantastic turnout of folk, it is a friendly, family show. It is there just for everyone to enjoy themselves, and everyone managed. Our sponsors and committee has been an absolute dream.”
Vice-president of the show, Stephen Young, said: “There was a good crowd, it was brilliant weather-wise.
“There was a good show of cattle, sheep and horses. The truck show was good, there was quite a lot of vintage tractors as well. There would have been about 2,000 or so people there.

Secretary of the show, Debbie Allardyce, said: “The day went very well from the weather being kind to the public coming out. Everyone really pulled out all the stops.
“I would like to say thanks to the exhibitors for coming and showing the best of their animals off. We understand with the weather this year it has been a tough year, but we appreciate their dedication, time and hard work they put in to showing.
