Wellington Road in Aberdeen was closed in both directions after the 81-year-old woman was hit at around 10.10am on Monday. Police kept the road closed for several hours as they carried out investigations following the incident. A police spokeswoman said: “We were called at about 10.10am to Wellington Road at Lidl. “A woman was trapped underneath a truck.Wellington Road was shut and northbound traffic has been diverted on to Abbotswell Road.” Scene of the crash on Aberdeen’s Wellington Road.
