Hundreds of tiny pirates and princesses are to take a dip in pools across Aberdeen next week.
The babies and children will don tiaras and tricorn hats to take part in a charity splashathon during their Water Babies swimming classes.
Nearly 3,000 are expected to take part across Scotland to raise money for Tommy’s pregnancy charity.
The organisation funds medical research into miscarriage, still birth and premature birth prevention at its Edinburgh centre.
It’s hoped around £70,000 could be raised at classes across the country.
Suzie Harrold, from Water Babies Scotland North East, said: “Tommy’s is such an important charity and very close to the hearts of many of our staff and swimmers.
“Our Splashathon week will see hundreds of our swimmers all over Aberdeen dressing up and swimming a width of the pool.
Tommy’s chief executive Jane Brewin said: “Tommy’s relies on the generosity and hard work of its supporters; Water Babies and their clients have supported Tommy’s for 13 years helping us to pioneer research to make pregnancy and birth safer for mums and babies.”
