Police are hunting for a man who stole £18,000 of jewellery from an Aberdeen store this morning.
The man, believed to be in his 30s, snatched the jewellery from Northern Diamond on Union Street at 9.30am.
He is understood to have taken a platinum ring, a white gold solitaire ring and a diamond bracelet.
The items have a combined estimated value of £18,000 with the most expensive piece of jewellery worth around £9,000.
No weapon was used and police are currently appealing for information following the robbery.
Detective Inspector Lorna Ferguson said: “We are currently in attendance following reports of a robbery at Northern Diamond on Union Street and our inquiries are at an early stage.
“I would urge anyone who witnessed the incident or recognises the description of the man to contact us immediately.”
