A 29-year-old man has died in hospital after a motorbike accident on an Aberdeen road.
The accident happened around 6am this morning on King’s Gate just before the North Anderson roundabout.
The biker – who had been using learning plates – was the only person involved.
Collision investigators are still at the scene, piecing together the moments before the accident happened.
King’s Gate from the Atholl Hotel to the roundabout remains closed.
The seat of the motorbike has been ripped off, and debris is scattered on the ground.
A spokesman for Police Scotland confirmed the man had died in hospital as a result of his injuries and are asking any witnesses to the accident to come forward.
