A woman who has been staying in a youth hostel in the Highlands has arrived in Aberdeen to be tested for Ebola.
The health worker was transported in a police convoy this afternoon from the Torridon area to Aberdeen where she will now undergo a series of tests at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
The patient, who is understood to have been working in West Africa, was greeted by medics in protective suits on arrival at the hospital.
The patient is stable and is not giving any cause for clinical concern and NHS Grampian insist the risk to the general public of contracting Ebola in Scotland remains very low.
