An Aberdeen cash handling company has been robbed of more than £65,000 following a break-in.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to theft from cash transit and security firm Loomis, on Souterhead Road, on the Altens Industrial Estate, last week.
Thieves broke into the site on Thursday, February 12, at around 7.35pm.
Police are currently making inquiries into a blue Mini, a white Land Rover Freelander and a black Hyundai X35 which they believed were used in the robbery.
The blue Mini was found abandoned at the scene but had been seen before in Altens before the incident.
The other two vehicles were also later recovered on Wellington Terrace, Cove.
Both had been seen roaming Altens before the crime took place.
Detective inspector, Brian Geddes, said: “It is believed that the people responsible may have also used additional vehicles to leave the area following the incident.
“Officers have been checking CCTV and carrying out door to door enquiries in the area and I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time and who either saw anything suspicious, saw any of the vehicles we’ve described or any people acting suspiciously in that area, to contact the Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if they wish to remain anonymous.
“Likewise, I would appeal to anyone who was in the Altens area between 7pm and 8pm and saw anything unusual or suspicious to contact us.”
