A heavy snowfall has moved into Aberdeen on the first day of April, while areas of Aberdeenshire were hit by the winter weather throughout the night. The Met Office said that snow would be falling on higher ground in the north-east today, with some showers expected to move further inland. They also warned temperatures would drop to -2C overnight, bringing with is frost.
